Titled “Our Town’s ICE Fight”, the action group consists of established subgroups including sport, youth, health, education, subject matter experts, police, businesses and employers.

The group will coordinate a series of sustained, systematic activities and interventions to engage the local community. The aim is to facilitate local behavioural changes and tackle the impact of ICE in our region.

“Our Town’s ICE Fight” represents the collaborative approach to addressing the ICE issue, which is fast proving to be the worst drug crisis the region has seen. ICE poses great health risks to users and an exponential increase in crime and illegal drug laboratories and dealings.

The name symbolises the fight that users face once addicted to the drug, as well as the battle that the community must now engage in to take control of the challenges. Also using "OUR" gives the town ownership so it has the capacitiy to transition to "YOUR" town.
